We are pleased to share that Prime Minister Fumio Kishida visited Imizu Recycle Center of Harita Metal Co., Ltd.(1*) (Headquarters: Takaoka-city, Toyama, President: Makoto Harita, URL: https://www.harita.co.jp/eng/, the “Harita Metal”). The Prime Minister also had a meeting to exchange opinions with management and staffs of three companies including Harita Metal about “woman empowerment& child-rearing support” and “realization of circular economy”.
Harita Metal operates Recycle business and Waste treatment business, and contributes to realizing circular economy through recycling metal scrap, such as crushing and sorting scrapped body of used bullet trains and recycling aluminum for a new body, and other materials obtained from waste. Moreover, Harita Metal works on improving well-being, and promotes Work Style Reform through supporting employees’ work life and family life/child rearing, such as increasing the number of Childcare leave obtained by both male and female employees.
Through supporting Harita Metal, J-STAR aims to increase corporate value and contribute to realizing sustainable society.
