We are pleased to announce that we have appointed Yuki Kashiyama and Tomoko Ando to be partners of J-STAR Co., Ltd.
Since its foundation in 2006, we have invested in 28 portfolio companies in Consumer, Services, Healthcare, Environmental, and Manufacturing industries through two funds that we operate, providing the companies with solutions while contributing for the expansion of the Private Equity market in Japan.
As we celebrate our 10 year anniversary, we strive to grow more in the next 10 years. The newly appointed partners will provide wider diversity to the firm, utilizing Mr. Kashiyama’s strong trackrecord as an operating team member contributing to the value creation of portfolio companies and Ms. Ando’s rich experience in the fund administration services
Going forward, we will operate with 7 Partners including them.
Mr. Kashiyama and Ms. Ando’s inauguration was on July 1. 2016.

Mr. Yuki Kashiyama
Yuki Kashiyama has been an investment professional as operating team at J-STAR since 2014. He has been involved in three value-added activities for portfolio companies in the industrial and information and communication sectors.
Prior to joining J-STAR, Kashiyama worked at Boston Consulting Group, where he engaged in many projects, after that he established biotechnology company in the US and exited from it.
Kashiyama received a M.B.A from Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Tokyo.
Ms. Tomoko Ando
Tomoko Ando has been an administration at J-STAR since 2009.
Prior to joining J-STAR, Ando worked at major accounting firm as auditor, after that she worked at management company of J-REIT as administration.
Ando received a Bachelor’s degree from Chuo University. She is a Certified Public Accountant in Japan.
