This is to announce that Apo Plus Station (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Representative: Tatehisa Ozaki, APS) has acquired shares of EBMs (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, Representative: Kazuhiko Kato, EBM). Established in 2002, EBM is a trusted provider of project management for clinical research along with DTC marketing and consulting services for the medical field. APS has established itself as a “Solution Partner” for the pharmaceutical industry with its CSO business and MR contracting and staffing services.

For APS, connecting capital and business operations with EMB will allow it to further expand and fortify its business strategy; creating a one-stop service to meet the wide-ranging needs of the pharmaceutical industry. For EBM, connecting with APS and its MR resources will allow it to secure new clients and deliver its services on a larger scale. In addition, its clinical research support business is also expected to complement another recent acquisition by APS, Synergy International, Inc., which provides records for medical conferences.

Following this acquisition, EBM’s independence will be maintained under President Kato and management. J-STAR will arrange for part-time officers at EMB, assist in establishing a framework for business cooperation and provide additional support to management and employees. To ensure efficient operations, we will establish a holding company under which APS, EBM and others will be structured.
