He made 10 investments in Tokuyama Shokai Group (Demolition work), Toy Factory (Manufacturing and selling recreational vehicles), WOLVES HAND (veterinary clinic), Sanwa Service (sale of cars), Echigoya (dried fish restaurants), Platia (caregiving for people with dementia), Japan Hospice Holdings (hospice services, TSE Mothers 7061), HCM (current Alsok Care, homecare), Taiheiyo-Seiki (manufacturing of construction machinery parts), TSS (manufacturing of electronic circuit boards), and executed 4 successful exits (including one IPO).
Primarily in the healthcare sector, he is identifying investment opportunities by focusing on demand growth and industry structure characteristics associated with changes in social dynamics, and collaborating with management teams to impact the industry.
Before joining J-STAR, he provided his continuous support to portfolio companies as a strategy consultant at the Nomura Research Institute.
He obtained an MBA from Oxford University. He graduated from the College of Arts and Sciences of the University of Tokyo. He is a Certified Analyst of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan.
