Principal
Joined J-STAR in July 2020. He is engaged in 3 investments in Toy Factory (Manufacturing and selling recreational vehicles), Yachiyo Care Support (rental of welfare equipment) and aki-japan corporation (staffing of architectural engineers). During the investment period, he identifies issues and devises a path to the resolution to help portfolio companies achieve further growth, and provides consistent support throughout the process. He believes that his role during the investment period is to lay the foundation for transforming the company into a “self-running organization. He is engaged in value creation activities such as inviting management personnel from outside, raising the overall level of the organization, supporting the establishment of various systems including the personnel evaluation system, helping to secure human resources, scaling up through additional acquisitions, and complementing the value chain. Before joining J-STAR, he worked at CVC Capital Partners in Tokyo where he supported buyout investments and the growth of portfolio companies. Before that, he worked in the Investment Bank division of Nomura Securities, where he was mainly involved in M&A origination and execution in areas related to communication, media, IT, and the Internet. He was also involved in multiple sale transactions using M&A and IPO for private equity funds. He obtained an MBA in economics from London Business School and he graduated from the Faculty of Economics of Keio University.
